Mina is appx 70lbs and a petite girl. She came to us completely fearful and wouldn't approach people. Now she gives her foster mom tail wags and is slowly improving. Mina will now eat if she is in the room with other dogs and people, she reluctantly goes outside for potty breaks, and is still afraid of the leash. Mina is housetrained and has shown no aggression. She mostly ignores the other dogs, but they get in her space often and force snuggle her, she accepts it and moves on. Mina is approximately 5 yrs old, spayed and UTD on vaccinations. She is a sweet girl who really just need a patient loving family to help her understand the world is not a scary place. Adoption Fee: $250
We are an all volunteer dog rescue organization devoted to helping abandoned or surrendered giant breed dogs in the Virginia area.
The giant breed dogs come to us from various situations: financial reasons, development of allergies, families moving away and unable to take the dog with them, and many more. Some dogs are found as strays with no identification to locate their original family. Occasionally we will rescue dogs from hoarders or from abusive situations. The reason a giant breed dog comes to us is not as important as our mission to take care of the giant breed dogs, ensure they are healthy and find them loving forever homes. They all need our help and we need yours.
